Literature Text

Oh you are so beautiful,
With your shallow, haunting eyes.
Oh you are so beautiful,
Why look so surprised?
Oh you know you're beautiful,
I can taste it in your tears.
I'm telling you you're beautiful,
Why don't you want to hear?
You're so perfectly beautiful,
In every thing you do..
Yet you're wallowing in your own chaotic,
Self-destructive gloom.
This peice is short and sweet but it means a lot to me. It's the first time that I think I've actually been able to express the way I feel about myself.
Just because you think someone is pretty, and you say things like "oh I wish I looked like you", you don't know the first thing about what you're saying. No one is perfect, that's something I've learned from experience, striving to be as perfect as possible my whole life. The prettiest people often have the most problems with themselves. That's a fact.
People always say "why do you complain about yourself? You're so luck to look like you do! Look at me! I'm fat! I'm ugly!" etc, etc.. but do you know just how much I hate looking in the mirror every day? I don't think you do. As beautiful as you may see someone, chances are they don't see themselves that way unless they are all together conceited. Everyone has their own opinions of what beauty is. I am literally everything I hate. As selfish and vain, and EMO as it sounds, it's the way it is. I'm actually starting to think I have mental issues on this one.
